Shux. I can't believe I'm no longer a student of DLSUD! Kakalerkz lang! I remember my very first day clearly...like it only happened yesterday! Chos! Pero hindi nga seriously, I remember it. I was crazy nervous and excited! Amazing how I survived that day. I remember walking in the campus taking one deep breath and then proceeded to look for my first classroom. It was crazy crowded!
Anyway since nauso sa Twitter yung #tipsforblahblahfrosh eklaboo...I felt like I had to impart all the survival skills I acquired throughout my whole four years in DLSUD.
Tip #1
Attend ng Orientation! Para makameet ka ng blockmates and make friends! Wala naman masyado gagawin. Uhm. Upo kinig sa speaker. Tour ng campus. Wear comfy clothes. Not sure kung applied ang dress code sa inyo since incoming pa lang naman kayo. Pero just to be sure check out Tip #7 para sa bawal at pwede suotin. Sa Alumni usually yun. Wag nyo tanungin saken kung san yun hirap iexplain. Tanong na lang kayo pagdating nyo dun. =)
Tip #2
Don't lose and always keep your regform with you. Most of the important transactions require your regform e.g. claiming ng permit, magbayad ng tuition. If ever you lose your regform...Hala ka lagot ka! I kid. Don't fret! In my four years in LaSalle Dasma I've never been able to keep my regform. I always lose it! Nagpapareprint ako 2-3 times PER SEM. Hahaha! How to reprint? Go to Counter 1 tell the lady there "Papaprint po ng regform." Bibigyan ka ng form na sasagutan mo go to Counter 16/17 which ever. Kailangan mo magbayad ng PhP10. Go back to Counter 1 present the receipt and voila! New regform. Not as pretty as the original one but it will serve the same purpose!
Tip #3
NEVER forget your I.D. The guards are strict and will eat you alive if you forget it. Hindi ka papapasukin pag waley yun! So importante yun! Pero if ever na malimutan mo nga sya...the guards will look for your regform. See what I mean when I say that the regform is important? Ipresent mo lang regform mo sa guard and it depends on the guard kung maniniwala syang sayo yung regform. Kung naniniwala sya na sayo yung regform then pipirmahan nya lang yun din pwede ka na pumasok. Kung hindi magtatanong sya sayo ng info about sa regform like for example "Sino yung guardian mo?" "Ano course mo?" "Full Name?" Kaya kung manghihiram ka ng regform ng iba aralin mo yung laman. Pag nalaman nila na hindi sayo yun lagot ka! Totoo na to! IpapaSWAFO (Discipline office) ka! Wag mo rin itry na manghiram ng ID ng iba! Or kung gagawin mo yun make sure na hindi ka mahuhuli. Bawal din yun! Chika ko sa inyo...may 2 classmates ako na naghiraman ng ID coz naiwan nung isa yung ID nya at waley rin sya regform ayun nahuli. Ayun nasuspend. =)
Tip #4
ON EATING.
Square Canteen.
Favourite ko kainan JefCee's, Oven Maid and Wanwan. Yung JefCees yung colour yellow and green yung interior. Yung Oven Maid yung katabi nya on the left. Sa JefCees masarap yung Shark's fn with rice (toyomansi with chili or sweet chili fave kong dips!). Fave ko rin tocilog nila. Basta lahat gusto ko sa JefCees. Sa Oven Maid trip ko lutong bahay nila. Lechon kawali, kare-kare, etc. Sigure mga 50-60 magagastos nyo dun. =)
Sa Wanwan, favourite ko dun yung special omelette nila. Sarap pramis! May chicken, beef at crab. 70+ with ice tea na yun.
Be careful kasi meron isang kainan dun na one time MAY IPIS yung pagkain ng friend ko! KALERKZ! Gusto nyo malaman kung ano? Ask me!
KnD. Eto yung kainan sa baba ng CEAT building. Masarap din food dito. =D Try nyo burger nila! It's the best burger in the campus. Sulit ang PhP25 nyo!
Outside the campus. Maraming masarap kainan sa labas ng campus guys. Kaya try nyo rin sa labas! Momo's ang favourite ko! Masarap ang chicken sisig, fried adobo, chicken oriental, bistek tagalog nila! At unlimited rice sila. Siguro mga 70+ magagastos nyo with drinks na yun. SOBRANG crowded lang pag lunchtime.
Basta kung gusto nyo makatipid sa labas kayo kumain. Maraming nagkalat na kainan sa labas ng campus na SUPER mura lang.
Tip #5
Ikot La Salle. Although hindi kasing laki ng UPD ang DLSUD malaki pa rin sya at nakakapagod maglakad from east campus to west campus and vice versa. Kaya mga Ikot La Salle na tayo! Haha! PhP6 ang pamasahe. Kahit saan na yun. ETO SUPER TIP PARA MAKASAKAY KA AGAD. Karaniwan kasi marami ang nagaabang sa jeep. As in. Eto ha...sa right side ng Rotonda ang pick up ng Ikot. Ngayon merong malaking countdown clock dyan for the Centennial eklaboo. Dyan ka pumwesto para magantay sa Ikot. Wag dun sa kabilang side yung sa may corner. Kasi karamihan dun nagaabang eh nagsastop yung Ikot dun sa may tapat mismo ng centennial clock so pag tigil nung Ikot kung dun ka nakapwesto sa tapat ng centennial clock ikaw una so kagkakapwesto ka na! Yay! Sana naintindihan nyo. Trust me this technique works! I take the Ikot everday!
Tip #6
Don't sit on the kubo tables to take a photo of your crush. Actually, don't sit at the kubo tables at all. Bawal yun. Refer to this post.
Tip #7
Magingat sa mga D.O (discipline officers). Basahin ang handbook kung ano ang bawal. They take things seriously. Basta eto yung mga general na bawal:
Flipflops
Offensive shirts
Torn jeans
Sleeveless tops
Littering
Pumitas ng chico dun sa may COS banda
Matulog sa lib
Magdala ng bag sa loob ng lib (Laptop bags and small pouches pwede)
Pwede cheating. Bawal magpahuli. =)
Tip #8
Swimming class. Ang ppol ng DLSUD ay olympic sized. Kung hindi ka marunong lumangoy keri lang! May lifeguard. Tsaka swerte ka kung pogi prof mo! Samen pogi! Tanong nyo saken kung sino. Or sabihin nyo saken kung sino sa inyo sabihin ko kung sya yun! HAHA!
Tip #9
HAVE FUN! Masaya ang environment sa LaSalle. Try nyo um-attend sa mga events ng college nyo at other colleges (Lalo na events ng CBA!). Masaya. On your first and second year medyo petix pa yan. Kaya pwede ka pa umattend. KamI ng friends ko date ina-attendan lahat ng events! Super saya! Dame pogi. Haha! Pag third year and fourth year ayan busy na yan. Hindi ka na basta basta pwede umattend ng events kasi may thesis na kayo!
Hhmm...hindi ko alam kung ano pa ilalagay. Marami pa pero wala ko maisip ngayon.
Kung may questions lalo na kung IT freshmen ka go ahead and ask. Don't be shy! =D

Yung building ng PE? Kadalasan sa ULS. Kung outdoor sa may grandstand.
At for sure kaya mo yun. Masaya PE laro laro lang may instant 4 ka na! Haha!

I took volleyball, swimming, and ballroom dancing before. Swimming was one memorable course. Imagine, my swimming class was around 8-ish. EXTREMELY coooold.

- May mga subject na magrerequire na bumili ng books. Pero very few lang. Usually pwede kahit photocopy na lang. Tsaka usually handouts lang binibigay. Tapos magkano? Depende e. Pero parang usually around 500-1000k mga text book ko dati!
